It's a great pity that this has to happen -

I know that we all get a tad right foot enthusiastic from time to time - but you'd have to be seriously challenged to want to stick the evidence up on a public forum - which has the responsible use of its members cars as a central plank of the clubs ethos.

I totally agree, none of us abide by the speed limits at all times but there is a time and a place and there are limits etc, I tend to "potter" around as my licence is my job (long commute ) . If I had a pound for every numpty who wanted to "race" in stupid places in stupid cars I would be a very rich man. We need to set an example to the kids that seem to be able to buy cars that the insurance co's really shouldnt allow them to buy in the first place and to those out there that think all performance car drivers are idiots etc. Seems the insurance co's are more interested in making money rather than being responsible and refusing to insure an evo, or scoob or m3 etc to a 21 year old. Makes me mad as I like many of us on here had to earn the right to drive a quick car and thus drive them sensibly etc and those idiots make a bad name for us.

I am in total agreeance with this post, there is a time and a place for everything...A previous club i was a member of had these rules but didnt abide to them which in turn got the club a bit of a name for themselfs ( i wont name and shame).
On talking to a work college one day we got onto the subject of our cars and when asked what i drove i answered only to have a roll of the eyes from him and the comment of "Say No More" which i found offencive. Im a very responsible driver and respect myself and my car to much to drive like a loon. They are a high powered car and can definatly bring a smile to my face everytime i drive but i would hate to be looked at as a "girlracer" (which i have rudely been called before) only because of the car i drove not because of the manner i drove it (that person was quickly put in their place aswell!!)
My licence is my livelyhood and without my licence i would have to give up many luxurys in my life (car included

)
Im glad to be a member of Big Power as you all really seem a grown up lot who dont talk s**t to impress others (mines better than yours!!!) We all have different budgets and enjoy the best we can....

Ummmm, just realised this post is near on 2 years old :oops: at least it shows im intrested in past posts not just recent ones
