Totally agree on this aswell.. we must continue to make big power thrive as a successful and prominant enthusiasts club for those who keep antics in a controlled environment...
and as the club expands rapidly, to be slightly more vigilant...but well done for bringing a fanastic group of drivers and enthusiasts together!

Last thing any of us want would be to get tarred with that brush and lose all the good work that Stu, Dunc and co have acheived in the short time we've been here.

Its a tough job,
And a tough decision to take - Im glad it isnt my job to keep the place sweet.
I agree that irresponsible posting is bad and has a negative effect, I also am the first to accept that on occasions we all do naughty things and stuff that maybe we are not so proud of on later reflection - that said you have to be a bit of a numpty to video it, not edit ot for "evidence" and then broadcast it on a public website and then highlight this broadcast yourself thus incriminating yourself in the process.
I like Pig and the lads, and I dont think there should be a "witchhunt" type attitude towards them, but I agree that they dont seem to do themselves any favours in the thinking before acting department either with this subject or the mishaps at Snetterton. All in all I think it was inevitable. Hopefully I wont fall foul of the same circumstances   :-D

I'm all for a bit of spirited driving on very quiet and intersting B roads as everyone else does, when appropriate, and within reason. BTW anyone that's says they don't has lied through their teeth and is a total hipocrite.
However, filming yourself being a complete and utter twunt with your reg number on display whilst merrymotormaking deserves the full weight of BP law thrown unto them from a great height.
I would feel truly ashamed if i were thrown out of this very exclusive and cracking little club because of silly bugger shinnanagans!!

Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

I think the thing to take from this is to remember that above all else, there is a time and a place.
James was right to say that we should not create a witch hunt, no individual on this forum is immune to the interests of performance. Equally we should all be aware that temptation is all around us. Therefore remember that all actions have a reaction. Feel free to drive outside of the norm, but prepare for the consequences that's all I'm saying.
Paul has expressed his remorse and apologised but we have rules that are to be followed and an ethos that some, clearly, take more seriously than others. By all means have an obscenely powerful car capable of hitting the national speed limit in 5 seconds or less, but please remember that we are not the majority on the roads and as our numbers dwindle such behaviour becomes less socially acceptable, hence a time and a place.
The reason I started this thread was to offer an explanation for 'the team' closing a few accounts. Some were for reasons of non-use, some were for this sort of thing. I felt you guys were deserved an explanation in case you'd seen the video and thought 'what the hell is that about?'
I'm sure the team will try and keep the site tip top but shout if you see anything out of the ordinary. We are not trying to spoil anyones fun, but I'm not about to have spoil mine either.
Cheers

The rules and what the club is about are quite clear upon joining BP.
I do also think as members we have a certain responsibility when promoting BP ourselves, and can help ease the burden on the admin team.
When inviting people it should be about added value. Do these potential new members add to the club, promote the club and above all enjoy the club like we all do. I know that I have refrained from inviting certain people I know in the past, purely because I know that they wouldn

How about only having members who have paid there subscription fee be allowed to attend events that are under the Big Power banner? I.E the drift and Drag evening at Snetterton.
That way the club has a bit of knowledge that the member knows and respects the rules.
I agree with the point that we must protect what the club has become and monitor new users more closely.
Just my opinion....
