SO we have 3 count them 3 people compteting from BIGPOWER ! Awesome!

As i said previously i will be giving the website a shout on the mic!

I hope there will be a few more there supporting your drivers!

James, any chance of you getting yourself over?

I'll be knocking around all day long so if i'm not busy on the mic don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions about the cars, drivers or generally whats going on.

I'll be the one in the hat....

What a brilliant day. I qualified for my licence and as a bonus, didn't finish last!

The standard has to be seen to be believed. The top 8 amateurs had incredible levels of control and consistency, and the pros were out of this world.

Its about the only type of event I'm as happy to spectate at as participate.

I've got some practice to do but I'm hooked :)

Welding the diff does make a big difference (in a positive way). The only other worthwhile mod would be some suspension, I was told it was the quietest and most wallowy car there :) I think I'll carry on with the beemer for the rest of the year as it seems pretty user friendly and a good base to learn. There was a converted Impreza run by Dan Gould that did very well (he was bumped up to pro) so that may be the way forward for me for next year.

Richard Greylin had put an M3 engine in a coupe body but it suffered an engine problem and seemed to be understeering in one particular corner. Tony Wong was awesome in a 1980 Corolla with incredible lock and angles and Clive was running well with three tidy runs.

I need to practice to get anywhere near the level of the top eight amateurs, but at least have a target. It is brilliant fun, I'd advise anyone to give it a try. When you are not running you are treated to the uber twin drifting of the pros which is genuinely spectacular.

Ren has got some good photos of the event, I'll see if he will post any up.

Its a shame Joe, you would have loved it. Did you get the diff sorted? Are you coming out at Snet on the 22nd?
