Recent Bans

Post by Stuart »

Some of you guys may have recently noticed that Paul (PIG) had posted a video of him carreering around a roundabout in broad daylight, number plate shown and in traffic. The admin team had a quick exchange of opinions and unanimously agreed to make an example of him, resulting in an instant ban. The driving was extremely dangerous and wholly inappropriate in modern society.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone why we're here, why I use BigPower as a forum and why I hope you do too. Our cars are our hobbies in the main and this forum is an extension of that. I am delighted that we have been able to create a community of this quality so quickly and the backbone of this club will fight tooth and nail to protect it.

The club works hard to provide opportunites for people to use their cars in 'anger', in a safe and controlled environment. Our aim in that respect, was to give you guys the to have some fun away from the risk of prosecution and also removing the risk of hurting anyone else.

I would like to say that the club will be taking a long hard look at our users/members behaviour at our events. There are a couple of PM's waiting for people after our most recent trackday, so the clean up starts right now.

Our standards have to be maintained, we have to push on together to make BigPower all it can be. There is no way we can hold on to our events and meet facilities unless we all work to protect what we have started. I hope I have your support.

Thanks

Stuart

Yea, Arsing around in public and then broadcasting it isn't the cleverest thing to do.

I agree that the admin should have made an example of irresponsible behavoir behind the wheel of a car on a public road.

Stu and the team,

You have a nice select set of rules that are to be abided by if you choose to belong here.

They are clearly posted and are supposed to be read and understood by everyone.

The BP forum has a fantastic name for itself.. and for good reason too.

Keep up the good work guys :D

I completely agree and support the admin team 100%.

That type of behaviour is not what this club and forum is about. Unlike some other forums/clubs we do not condone the donuts in the McDonalds car park type approach to driving.

Good move as far as I am concerned :)
I may be getting older but I REFUSE to grow up :D

110% behind you Stu. There's enough muppet forums with 'my balls are bigger than yours' and 'look at what a pratt I can be' type attitudes.

BP stands head and shoulders above these and in only 12 months. There should be more to being accepted as a member than just registering and paying a sub. Good reputations are hard won but eaily lost.

2p :)

Bloody good point and we are looking into a way of ensuring a higher standard of qualilty control for this very reason. I'll always accept bribes though :D
