Project Silvia *updated*

Post by NikWilson »

Ian and me have just bought a 1987 S12 Silvia with a 1.8ET turbo engine. This is our new track and drift project. Lets see what she can do for a 19 year old lady!

Pictures to follow

Really like these Nik. I wanted to do one of these myself but do not have the time. CA18DET goes in nice

I think though don't quote me you can mix and match the CA18ET engine with the CA18DET to gain a little more strength. One of my friends has been running an S12 as a track car with about 320hp for years without problems - so pretty fantastic.

For reference,

Bobs silvia is about 260-280bhp, but thats not to say it isnt A) Fast and B) Very reliable.

Quite a few members here are familiar with it from our trackday earlier this year and generally the car being at Snetterton several times a year for the last 8 years !!

If you need help or advice with it Nik then Bobs a bit of a guru with these things and always has spares and interesting stuff knocking around.

It must be the CA18ET engine that is fitted, since it is Turbo charged. Will the head from a CA18DET fit the block??
