Pinned down a leak I had on the wastegate that was causing sucha late spool, all sorted now so getting a bar by 3500rpm which isn't to bad considering the 1.9mm MHG, FMIC and equal length top mount manifold. Wastegate sounds beautiful though :)

It worked really nicely actually, only running at 17psi with appropriate fueling but it really pulled well I was quite impressed, but but but

Its dead

Driving home slowly (cough) from asda. . . . . . . oil leak on the turbo feed pipe :o I know nothing about it till teh oil light comes on, I pull over on the hard shoulder and turned the car off much to other motorists distaste but I love my car not them :D

ANyway I take alook and I see a small leak, allow it to cool and refill the oil, 3litres in :o
Drive home slowly, almost ther enad on goe steh light again :( stop car jump out cheack for leak, now granted it was dripping but not gushing so topped it up AGAIN and continued home (no I don't have breakdwn cover!)

Anyway I get home let it cool and go out to check, small puddle under neath but nothing major to be honest, the engine bay's busy so hard to see where its from so i top up the oil again and start the car so to help find it......

AND OH MY GOD!!!!

I look under the car and the oil is pouring out like its water from a tap! I dive for the keya nd turn the car off, in the 15 seconds it was running for I reckon it dropped 1-200ml :o

So long and tall is turbo is knackered and I'm upset :(

Really sorry to hear that you have had a problem. When did this happen?
I take it you are going for uprated braided lines then.
Are you going to make it to a meet?

This happened about the 21st last month :(

I was dying to get there last month, met James (bladerider) who is a very rude young man! Got a few tip from him. All was looking good though it was a last minute call if I could go or not due to personal issues but I couldn't wait and then the oil line let go :(

Will make a concerted effort for the next drift night though may have to miss it as I'm trying to get everything ready for JapShow in October as my baby may be on show :)

Deffo going for braided now, the lines I had we a compromise as I didn't have the cash at the time but for the sake of the cost and stress its caused me I don't think I'll scrimp again :(
