Top evening wish my skyline had been ready
but the M5 did us proud :lol: track tyres make all the diference oh and the nurnburg suspension :lol: cant wait for the next one. And a big thanks to eddy for ordering the M5 TAXI (i wish)8)

Hi Lisa, Sorry, I should have come out with you myself but I wasn't sure my lines were the correct ones. No good if you learn the wrong way. I followed Stu who's the Snett. master, as you well know

And you are right Stu is the Snett. master and possibly with Jedi tendancies too - so calm even in the middle of a spin! :lol:

Thanks for making me welcome stuart and letting me "try" and run in that last session!
Since turboing my little red nova last summer I've had 5 trackdays including this one and all were wet bar yesterday so was soooo excited to see what the car can do!
I barely managed 2 laps when the stupid boost hose came off the turbo and despite trying to retighten it twice it did little good! Mikalors being fitted very soon!

Some very flattering things have been written there and I am very grateful for the comments but on a honest note, I've done somewhere in the region of 2000 laps at Snetterton (30+ trackdays and one or two Heart Foundation days) and I'm still learning every lap and in every session. I love the place and the staff always make me so welcome, which is now extending to you guys too.
As long as everyone relaxes and lets the speed increase naturally, the rhythm flow from corner to corner, the speed will come. No point in rushing as in order to go fast you need to build slowly.
As for remaining calm during your spin Lisa, I knew you were going to do it about 30 yards before you did so I had time to prepare. You did well to recover and then promptly put in your best lap, so I wasn't the only one who showed a calm disposition.
As long as everyone relaxes and lets the speed increase naturally, the rhythm flow from corner to corner, the speed will come. No point in rushing as in order to go fast you need to build slowly.

25 mins is a nice length session too to build up and build up! I think the thing for novices is tho that you don't wanna go out and look slow so you try too hard if that makes sense.

As for your oil temp, I was up to 120 with an oil cooler fitted although ran fairly hard the whole way round
Ian if I had realised you were on a cool down lap I would of been a bit more gentle with you! :lol:

my first track day...
this was my very first track day, i started sprinting earlier this year so thought i would give it a go. one thing concerned me though, i was over-taken (or should i say 'under-taken', it was on the left as it should have been) right in the corner after the longest straight. should this have happened? was my racing line so bad that it looked like i was giving him the room to do this? frightened the life out of me at the time. as a newbie i tried to keep a keen eye on people approaching, and moved over to the right when it was necessary. however, this event was a great experience for me, so thank you BP! :-D
