Debden results through tonight. As I suspected, last in class for me. Where can I get some soft slicks? AND what are the equivalent sizes.

I belive race covers are cross ply so the sizes aren't in the familiar mmwidth/%of width/inches rim dia format. I looked on the net but couldn't find any comparison tables.

Must pull some time back on ESB :-D

Gerry - I have a contact for very cheap part worn Pirelli Rally Tarmac tyres in Soft compound - perfect for sprints as they will be grippy from the moment the wheels turn.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

^ this will tell you your overall diameter

This will be the middle figure in the description of race / rally tyres eg

215/620/17 etc

cool - will get the guys details handy - they were peanuts circa 25-50 a corner depending on how much tread you wanted.
