Hello and :welcome: to BP Neil

Being a crap driver isn't a handicap on here - most of us improve with practice - despite the our most gallant efforts not to

Cool! Will you be my best friend? :)

I doubt that the big coupe will ever come out to play on a track to be honest, as it will be almost entirely out of it's element there. However, my little coupe could be a possibility... It's a 1990 318is - http://www.neil.nu/images/photos/635/DSC02126.JPG [1] - while while a bloody fun car to drive, hardly counts as 'big power' at only 130ish bhp. Perhaps the site mods could have a 'little power' category for me :)

Before the 318is goes anywhere near a circuit, there's a few things I'd like to do to it though:
  • Steering rack from a Z3 - currently it's 834 turns lock to lock
  • Limited slip diff
  • Short throw gear linkage. Again, from a Z3
I'm agonising whether to make these mods though. There's no doubting that it would be a more fun car to drive, but at the moment it's in such good original condition, that I'd only be throwing money away by making these mods. Maybe I need to look out for an old E30 track car to get my kicks in. Wonder where I could find one of those then James? ] Believe it or not, I picked this up for
