Well done James. The Cerbera and Tuscans are cars that I have looked at many times. One day, one day I'll be brave enough to take the plunge.

The kerb weight is indeed something special, transforming a good engine into a breathtaking one due to the lack of baggage. I know Callum Lockie rates these very highly and he can peddle a bit so I look forward to your feedback when you're familiarised.

Nice to see you back on the site too :thumb:

YEah, been a bit busy with work and stuff so not been around much.

I can give you some feedback right now.

It's very, very, very fast. In a brutal large normally-aspirated engine kinda way.

And it's very clear it's a track oriented engine (or as Peter WHeeler said 'An engine with a distinctly sporting nature" :D ) - crap under 3K rpm, and pulls like a banshee over that. Once I get the new suspension on it, I'll give it some stick over the back roads here. I might even bring it to Cadwell.

As a BMW man, how do you find the integrity of the build? My only concern with a TVR, is their rep for disintegrating at the first sign of hard life. I've only been in a couple and for brief 'spurts' too so in no way definitive and whilst brutal in terms of grunt and top end power, these two individuals felt 'fragile' and rattled and squeeked like a hamsters cage in washing machine.

Damned fast but brittle......does yours differ?

Really looking forwards to seeing this at one of the events (Cadwell would be particularly saucy ;) )

Cadwell is booked, but I might bring both cars...(CAn I do that??) Or do I need to buy a second ticket?

Build quality is...different. It doesn't feel like a budget car, but it also doesn't feel like a plush teutonmobile. It feels like a bespoke tweed jacket - obviously handmade, and in some ways that's not so good - but it feels wonderfully undividual - the instruments are lovely, and the leather/carpet is all really nice. Nice touches of carbon fibre around as well. Nope, more brutal than brittle....

It actually feels very solid to be in and to drive - like it's hewn out of oak.

Probably fine to split the driving between two cars but may be worth checking with Chris, just in case.

A charming anology, the oak and thoroughly pleased to hear it. I do rather hope to own one at some point and I know the perceived build quality issues would be in the back of my mind so this is good news. Tweed jackets conjur up all sorts of MGB related images so I'm going to watch some TVR videos on Youtube to get that out of my mind pronto

Oh yeah..........get some bloody pictures up :D

IF someone brings a camera tonight to the drift thing, they can take some - mine was nicked last week, along with wallet, phone, PDA, iPos etc at a music festival and I can't replace it until the insurance company pulls its finger out...
