I have never had an issue with FI's either. I am on my second set on the GTR and had them on the GTs-t aswell as Sarahs Rex.
If you need some 16" wheels Jim I have some AVS, ( you have probably seen them on for track days etc). Got some legal Yoko's on them but not that cracky.
Or You could swap those wheels you have on there for my BBS
:D

Guys having spoken to Jim
It looks like he may be in temporary need of a set of loan wheels [-o< - this could be as simple as a faulty valve on one of the rays rims that got swapped over when the original punctured tyre was replaced, hence the puncture fairy visiting lucky Jim twice in as many days
.
Trouble is rays have got special valves :x

Unlucky fella,
Deffo not right that a new tyre will do the same thing. The only way you cut a tyre up like that is running it flat - they dont just slice cleanly through the sidewall any other way. Hence you must be losing air from the rim or the valve - if theyre splitties this can be a hassle.
As for the 215's then they should slip on a 9j piece of pish - I run stretched 215's on my 9 and 10j rims and have done for 3 years without ever having problems - tell the tyre guys their gay coonts and to buy a bead blaster.

Best of luck with it mate,
