I just sold my 2004 RX-8, way overrated in my opinion! Only owned it for 1 year from new and sold it for 9,500GBP. Depriciation value defineatly sucks! Wasn't into topping up oil every time I filled up!
I traded my 54 plate RX8 in, in december of last and got 14k for it. Not sure whether I would describe it as overated as it is the best handling car I have driven, but had no torque and I like torque. I had a lot of problems with the gearbox and engine so I got rid of it. When it was running ok it was an excellent car both on and off track. The brakes on them are fabulous and they are only single pot sliders, I couldn't get them to fade on track, they make My 4 pot Brembo's on the Subaru feel like Drum Brakes.

As regards the Honda. To me it looks too much like the teg DC5 and I would not pay 22k for one.

Sadly the rotary engine isnt known for torque !!

Unless its a triple or 4 rotor....then its pretty good.

There are some bits to help like a Greddy turbo kit or a Knightsports supercharger. but you are only looking at around 50 bhp extra.

I love the RX8, the shape etc but it is just a shame the japs havent developed it with aftermarket stuff as much as the RX7s.

Reckon I will end up owning one, a jap import version as I want a white one !!!

Stick a blower on it and make it fly.

Apparently the RX-8's ECU is a complete pain in the arse and it isn't as simple as whipping it out and putting an Apexi in :(
