Have to agree with that one. Just had a word with a guy near me who has a welding firm. I need to get the seats, etc. out and try the cage for size & position so he can give me a price.

I imagine there'd be some serious energy being transferred to the mounting points, if the worst happened, so needs to be done well.

Where did you source the welding plates from?? Just wondering if there are any other suppliers of SD cages other than Scoobyclinic, as I am sure their price is top whack!

I called SD about a cage but they said they didn't sell them direct anymore, also sent them a mail asking for a picture specs of the cage, no reply!!!

I think I will call again, and play my motorsport connection card, and see what happens, as you say, they are pretty much local so i can just go pick it up, need to sort something fairly soon as hopefully work starts on the car next week :!:
