I'm not even getting involved, sandwich plate is fine, but then what happens if you want an oil cooler, it all gets a bit messy.

i all ways thought, the best place was above cylender 3, as like you say, its the hottest place to get, there for, no hidden hot spots, only places that will be a little bit cooler

Mine is above cylinder 3 Ian, and from what Duncan is saying,so is his.

With having a FMIC you should be able to get to the spot reasonably easy.

have got to replace the hose that goes from the induction kit to the turbo, as abit had broken off :-( so the manifold etc is coming off, and im going to ahve a go at fitting the gauges then. hopefully, nice and easy as most of the engine will be out of the way!

If the manifold's off the job will be a lot easier. It's really fiddley otherwise and you'll need all manner of weird shaped spanners to get to it and a lot of luck.

I dont even know which cylinder 3 is :lol: but I'll take your word that mine is there Logan :D

Back of the engine to the left of the throttle body is where mine is :oops:

all you need to fit the sender to no.3 oilway is a screw-in adaptor, can't recall exact costs but around a fiver and in stock..................
