you can clean the o2 sensor with a blowtorch too, or an oxy-acetalene axe set to low.

to keep it clean, instruct your wife on how far down the fast pedal goes

Is it more likely that a shiieeet batch of petrol cooked it? ... and would I be better off getting jo to us v-power in the car?.

And it's probably me and the loud pedal as it only comes on when i'm giving it a beasting.
