Evo had made 480 @ the wheels, 607bhp (estimated) @ the flywheel, on pump fuel, but of course that just isn't enough.

So, whats the answer?? Headwork. Obviously.

So, off came the head and it underwent some fettling......

the head is already sitting on the block and waiting for me to find some time to get it back running so we can see the results.....

Lacking the drive? First time I've heard you say that in 8 years of knowing you :o If you want to do an all nighter (even if I'm just your tea and coffee bitch) during the week, just let me know. You need to get this monster back on the road mate to remember what all of the fuss is about.

Well, the Evo has just had a quick map (we haven't fitted the 4-bar MAP sensor yet), so are only running 1.8 bar, as you can see from the third graph.......

Estimated Flywheel Power vs Flywheel Torque.....
Image

Power @ Wheels vs Tractive Effort (raw Torque)
Image

Power @ Wheels vs Boost
Image

People do run these to 2.2 bar, but we won't know whether or not this is beneficial until we get round to fitting the 4-bar and sorting the map out.

Either way, the power is great compared to other similarly spec'd cars running more boost. :-D

Not bad. Still think you'd be better of slinging that little turbo on my RB26 :)

The results are great considering the lack of optimisation mate. I'm sure you must be excited to see what you can do with more fuel and more boost.

Have you had many takers for similar work on other EVO's? I'm ignorant to the mods that the EVO guys follow so forgive me if I should know better, I just imagined that with results like these, a driveable, near lag free 600+ track monster would be very popular.
