Now realising that my hope of getting a set of the UK spec Xenon lights for my car is a non starter due to the

iirc Ian - this set-up would not be legal. Driving lights should extinguish on dipped beam else you are going to blind everyone.

If you didnt blind everyone, there would be no point in the lights.

Do you take the car out at night

?

Are you sure there is no way if the lights are angled and set up properly that i can run with them on all the time?
You can run with Foglights on dipped and high beam?
Where is the resident policeman on here!?

I do drive at night and to be honest its scary with Skyline headlights!!

I really want to put a really nice set of powerfull and discreet lights on the lower part of my bumper so i can see better.

But fog lights are only lighting upto 18 inches above the tarmac.

Can you fit higher rating bulbs the the dipped unit (doesnt sound HID to me)?

Ian, yours definitely aren't HID mate. l'm getting a new set fitted in the next week or so, so if you want to try mine first you'll be welcome.

"Full time" driving lights will get you nicked in no time. Fogs are different as per the explanation above. (But if they are on when they should nt be you'll still make someone with a nice shiny coat happy

)

You'll either have to get some HID's, more powerful bulbs or get some night goggles (joke)

Ian,

Try Jap Performance Parts,

they can usually get anything - so are bound to have some proper Xenons.

Unfortunately that shop doesnt have any Xenons mate.

Ok it looks like a decent HID kit is going to be the way forward for me, i dont know a thing about these kits yet though, in simple terms does it just increase the voltage to a set of special lamps?

Are they car specific or universal?

Are Bellof regarded as the best on the market?
