audi RS4

Post by Mr Fletcher »

mate just came round and took me out in 07 RS4, driving along road plenty of torque , handles well , interior nice ,sweet noise,

then he pulls over and says would like a drive !!!! Well it would have been rude not too ... yeeeeehaaaaa

I now have body parts for sale on ebay and am looking for alternative accomadation !! Awesome motor car.

What do you think my chances of trying to blag a demo car for a weekend , the same weekend as a track day , not.

You could seriously unleash the beast on track!!! Seems a waste almost not too , oh well back too reality  :D :D

i wonder if a car with a complete package such as the rs4 would sterilise your passion ,in other words after six months you wouldnt really be able to upgrade and tinker with handling and performance ? :D .some would say why bother but just to wash it once a week is not my cup of tea. :-D

Valid point that Jason~ if modifications and development are your 'thing', surely it's better to stay with a more modest, simpler starting point? For me I never have the cash upfront to spend

Think that's it .. the RS4 is best part of 60K .. and to the untrained eye is quite normal looking ....

Where as 30k invested in most of the cars we have on this site will make them rather personal and rather hardcore.

Yes,
It is all about individuality and ethos rather that just buying a car that costs as much as a house.
As we all know you can buy an already capable car for a modest amount of money and turn it into a monster for another modest amount of money. That is the idea in my opinion.
The RS4 is an awesome machine though.

A friend of mine has an RS4 and they are a great all round package. They have enough power and stopping capability to have some fun, along with the space for the family and the comfort for long journeys. Not really my personal choice, but as an everyday car, a great package.

HAHAHA

Its the way you tell 'em !!!

I ended up cancelling my order for an RS4 Avant thanks to all last years time wasting and secret squirrel about when it would actually materialise. They are a nice sounding car, and tick all the quality, design, and sporty boxes. But I wouldnt waste my time with one on track - great big wallowing understeery thing !!! Before anyone jumps up and down, I know they are quick, and I know they are pretty handy on track, but then with 420bhp they should be !!!

For 60k I would spend the money more wisely unless (as me) you had to have a new vehicle. Even then I'd wait for the new M3, the current M5 or perhaps for a track focus something much much lighter and more cpapable.

I have issues !!! :ack2:....I used to be average, now I reminisce !!!
