How do you wire up a Air/Fuel gauge?

Post by Mr Windscreen »

Just got one of these for my R32 GTR. I have a live and earth wire but where do I connect the other wire (grey in colour)? The instructions say connect it between the O2 Sensor and the PCM. Where is this on my car? :help:

It connects to the signal wire from the lambda sensor. Best bet is if you have a wiring diagram for the ecu. Otherwise, if it is like the Nissan 3 wire ones you can tell from the plug. If you look in the end of the plug, 2 wires will have normal silver connectors, these are the pre heat wires. The other wire will have a gold plated plug. You just need to attach your last wire to that one :) Bare in mind though that the connection should be soldered and not crimped if you can help it. Also the wire that goes directly to the sensor may be very difficult to solder, so best bet is to find the correct wire at the ecu :)

connecting it at the ecu end saves you having to feed long wires back through the bulkhead
