Agh- you managed to break the toughest OEM 5 speeder. The PPG set is the way forward but comes at a price :(

I've PM'd about the wheels but no response, hope they havent already gone as need a set. If anyone knows anyone etc!

Dunc, thanks for the PM, thats fine, no further action required.
It's not exactly broke, just can't get reverse. Third's become very reluctant to engage and I've ended up 2nd to 5th a couple of times now which doesn't help on a sprint course or drag strip. Behaves fine on the road and drove home from SSO with no problems. Just can't move it in the drive now :(

May have a set of wheels available soon, from my son's car. STi 17" with good tyres but not 070s

New for 325! I'd have had his arm off if they were 100PCD! Theres a set from an 04 STi with 5mm, bloke wants 275 for them so if he gets back to me I'll have them for that. It was the RE070s I wanted more than the wheels!

That sounds broke to me Gerry!

Just an aside, Swinton Insurance had a stand at SSO and I was told, by one of the girls promoting it, that Swinton have opened a new 'performance car' dept. She assured me that modified imports were the sort of thing they would cover.

So, as my insurance is due to expire in a couple of weeks, I phoned the number, went through the details and all the mods. "What's the annual mileage?" "Maybe a couple of thousand miles, I use it mainly for track days and a bit of competition" I replied.

:o Competition? Track days :o "We can't insure you then." "But" I said. "I'm not looking for track cover, only to and from. On the road!" End of!

Stick with Moley at Keith Michaels I reckon.

Andy - pm Beanpotter/MJP on here - they had a contact for very cheap RE070's

Beanpotter gave me the contact but it would still be cheaper to get them on wheels if that makes sense? If I cant do that I will follow it up and get a set of alloys cheap.
