R32 GTST-4

Post by Fast Eddy »

Do we have a resident expert on these?
Obviously they run the RB20DET motor with ATTESA and HICAS etc. I was very surprised to read somewhere that they had a roller bearing turbo!
They are meant to be quite rare!
How much are they worth?

Have a look here Eddy. Don't think it has a roller as standard as none of the others in the range did. But what do I know :D

Thanks Stu,
Yes it confirms my thought too that it had a ceramic turbo like the rest of the range.
1400kg and 214bhp. Mmmm not that good power to weight and not as tuneable only being a 2ltr. I have seen some RB20's get 400bhp though but with serious turbo etc.

I would say that these may be good, subject to what you want to use it for. A friend of mine used to have an RB20'd GTst and that had 420bhp from a TD06-20g. Pulled and sounded like a monster by virtue of the screamer pipe and his anti social driving.

Strip some weight out, up the boost and fueling and you should be up to 250bhp per tonne. More than enough for a laugh.

Ive never seen anyone actually SELL a GTS4,

I know a couple of people who bought them though, and they swear they are great.

Not for me though, too few powers, too much compromise and too little tuneability.

Not really worth bothering with to be honest, in my opinion anyway.
