Just cut and pasted my response to Smokin Aces from SXOC >>>>>

Its shyte.

I have watched pre school cartoons with a more watchable plot, sequencing and tempo. If you think traffic crossed with reservoir dogs crossed with solaris but without any of those films talent or acting then you will have a rough idea.

Obviously the people above just like random gun sequences and overly stylised lighting and sets.

J. :D :D :D

That being said I'll still probably buy it on dvd !!! lol
I have issues !!! :ack2:....I used to be average, now I reminisce !!!

It is terrible ... half the time you can't tell what they are saying or why they're trying to kill each other ..

AVOID - it's pony.

Grudge 2 - Not too bad, in my opinion a little better than the first with more scary moments and the use of sound effects much more!! If you whatch it you'll know what i mean, not sure the girlfriend was as keen though. Worth a look..

More importantly me and my mates are having what we are calling an Arnie Fest at the moment and are trying to get hold of as many Arnie films as possible to whatch before we go out drinking on a Saturday night.. Last week was Commando and the week before was Running Man, Apsolutely classic films with so many one liners but cant believe the amount of mistakes in the films!! Still, great viewing though!

do cinema's still show classic films anymore?

for people who never got to see epics on the silver screen?

days of thunder is a cracking film :thumb:

talldega nights was turned off soon after the family was saying prayer and they start snogging!!!

what a crock of shyte!!!

it wasn't as if i hated will farrell enough before seeing this drivel.

same goes for "revolver"

some of my recommendations are.....

LEON
SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION
GREEN MILE
TRAINS, PLAINS AND AUTOMOBILES
CAPE FEAR ( robert de niro version )
SE7EN
HEAT
THE FIFTH ELEMENT ( visualy stunning and great comedy!! )
recent movies have been not so memorial to me?

the sentinal was kind of predictable?

anyone else watches "heroes" on sky? bloody fantastic!!! :D

Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - At Worlds End

A very good film and lived up to my expectations based on the last ones.

There were some brilliant moments in it eg ship battles, Jack Sparrow marooned on land in Davy Jones' locker etc

A few obvious bits in the story that you can guess really early on but good nevertheless.

I still am amazed at Davy Jones head and cant guess how much is real and how much is special effects.

Overall a swashbuckling 3 hours and definitely a dvd purchase !

I would recommend seeing the first 2 before going as the story follows on and there are a few jokes here and there that relate back to the previous films.

Thumbs up from me ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Just remembered one other thing.......if you go and see it make sure you stay to the very end of the credits !!!!!!! The very end....there is an extra scene !!
