When track experience day companies go bust!!!

Post by TonyB »

My mum wants to get her boyfriend a Track experience day for his birthday. This would need to include a decent amount of tuition, car hire, and a bit of freedom to have some fun if deemed 'up to it'.

East Anglia, Midlands, Northwest, Northeast, locations considered.

Any suggestions??

Cheers,

Tony

Paul, Goz on here, owns the company mentioned above. Give him a call, quote BigPower (if that gets no joy then quote my name) and see how you get on. Hope she has deep pockets. Trackday car hire does not come cheap.

Oh dear oh dear,

Trackday experience booked. Today my mum gets a phone call from the track management saying that http://www.trackday-gift-experiences.com have gone bust, and that they will not honor the voucher.

If paid by CC you'll get the money back. I had a similar thing not too long back.

Well then, as it turns out bacause the event was booked on debitcard, and not creditcard, the bank will do nothing about it :(

And surprise surprise Paul (Goz) is not replying to my emails.

Well and truely out of pocket, and trying to stay calm about it all :x

I am genuinely sorry that you have lost out like this......why does the debit card/credit card make any difference though? Did they offer any explanation?
