ipod help

Post by buff »

Right then,my son has had an ipod nano for a few months now..no problem :-D

I recently got a nano, plugged it into my pc and it automatically loaded all his sh#te songs onto mine :x

I've done a search and followed the instructions but i don't seem to be able to delete from mine,is there a way we can both have seperate accounts on one pc?

I'm sick of his drum'n'bass

The only way I can think of is to set in 'Preferences' in iTunes for it to not automatically update it, you want it to be done manually.

That's how I've got mine setup as iTunes seemed to have a mind of it's own and automatically put whatever it wanted on my iPod from my library. Very annoying

As George says there is an option in the preferences to update manually... do that and your Carpenters Collection can be on your iPod instead :D

If you setup logon accounts for windows XP then I seem to remember it being as if there are 2 installations of Itunes.....1 on 1 profile with your list of songs and another on his profile with his list of songs.

only trouble with that is that I think you would need to import the complete library again. I am not 100% on that though.
