New wheels...rally cool, or chav bling??

Post by blacky »

Alright peeps

Well, got these rims and new tyres for a decent price, put them on teh car, thought they would look awesome, and I am not 100%....your thoughts please :!: BTW the Works are staying  , going to use them for my Sprints as they are fairly light and the worn Eagle F1's seem to grip well.

Old: 7x17" Work Emotion CR's

Cheers chaps.

Yeh, the air intake, just need to spray up the fogcover now, and also make a heatshield for the engine bay as its heatsoak central in there!!!

Oh yeh, if anyone can photoshop the rims graphite grey, matt black and Bronze that would be cool.... :D

Looking nice there Logan. I spotted those a while back and would have had them for myself if they did wider sizes, but there we are. I think the only reason you may be looking at them and wondering whether they suit is that most cars that use white wheels are adorned with sponsors names and graphics too. I'm sure in a couple of weeks it will all look 'balanced' in your mind and you'll be a happy bunny again.

It will be interesting to see how you get on with 18" wheels on a classic. Let me know.

I think you may be right Stu. I don't dislike them, I just thought I would like them more....

As for how they make the car handle, the jury is still out, I have driven 250 miles with them this weekend, and I am reserving judgement as yet, as the tyres are new and are not as grippy as they should be, the initial thoughts are that they are not as good as my 17"stho, and seem to tramline more, and the car doesn't feel as settled....we shall see over a few more miles....then swap back to the 17's to compare, then the final decision will be made....whether they stay, or go for another set of nice 17"s.

As you know, I am not someone who has something only coz it looks nice, but doesn't do anything positive :!:
