Lotus Day?

Driving up the A11 today on my way home from London on the (rubbish) Elveden stretch. There must have been no less than fifty Lotus' in convoy driving the other direction. Mostly Elises and Exiges, but a fair few Esprits too. I was just curious as to where they'd been and if anybody went. It was quite a sight, most of the cars had foreign plates too although there were some english.

I'd imagine they'd been to the Lotus factory, it's just off the A11

I used to go on a few Lotus runs when I owned one and they were very well attended. Usual routine probably, meet at a pub then follow a pre-determined route. Except on one occasion just about everyone got lost down a narrow country lane and 30 or so Elise's ended up on someones drive. The owners were well amused and sat by the entrace watching a load of Loti trying to all turn around at once!
