Superb clips Ben, I've tried to do similar with Drag racing clips and it takes forever and comes nowhere close to being as good as that :-D

If you use something like Sony Vegas Video, you can add loads of effects, transitions between clips etc.

For a quick demo of various things it can do, you can look at what I made in 3 days...

Not family friendly...(well I been told that anyway)
