Post by Mr Windscreen »

Any one fitted a new head unit in a jap import mx5?? Do I need an adapter harness to plug in the new head unit so that it fits the jap wiring loom??

Yes, These are not expensive at all. Make sure wherever you buy the head unit to get the adapter harness with it. The harness will be specific per the head unit AND the make of the vehicle, pay close attention when buying the harness so you don't have to make more than one trip! A year off will make a difference. I had to do this for my old RX-8 and did a couple MX-5s. Sorry the slow reply, hope this helps!
