R32 tow hook

Post by Fast Eddy »

Ben,
I am a registered trader now!
Do you know where it fixes to on the car and whether you have to have a hole through the bumper? If enough were interested i would make some of these. I will have a look on my GTR to see what is involved.
Let me know

I'd buy one - but only if it was as COOL looking as the Kansai - it looks like it connects one of the right hand chassic members thus it stands clear of the bottom splitter ... I had to tow my car once and remember watching my bumper twisting.

I secured the tow rope to a loop that is just visable through a hole in the splitter.

Ok Ben,
Well, my GTR has unfortunately done more miles on the back of transporters than i care to remember and they have always had to pull it up backwards of course and scrape the front spoiler.
I think these are a good idea for all track cars as std towing facilities on most cars are not very good ie awkward to get to. Plus you can have a nice -> sticker like a real race car lol.
Will have a chat at the next meet. I may make a universal screw in piece then do bespoke fitments for individual cars.
I am not promising anything but will try to knock together a prototype for you to see.
