But jimbob .. that's missing the point of this .. why try and make a Bavarian car look like a Skyline by fitting nissan OEM parts for a R34.

I'm all for aftermarket body kits and stuff and individualism but don't think making your car look like a poor clone of something else is being individual.

I liked Lloyds comment, "why didn't you just buy a skyline, it would have been a lot less" The chap replied "I wanted something different"

But all he was doing was making a teg look like he wanted a skyline!.

Maybe it's me, I have a phobia about seeing parts of one brand fitted to another brand. I've nothing against making a 316 look like an M3 .. that to me is normal .. but let's say buying a Peugeot 205 and making it look like a Clio V6 .. that would be just odd.

(lol and you're probably right about the value of a 32 :))

sorry ben. i wasn't being argumentative.

i just think some peoples imagination can get "lost in translation".

this particular car looks "ok".

i also see your point about "cross breeding" so to speak.

but its also common for american V8's to go into all sorts of kit cars and fords/rovers etc.

and i think we should embrase some of it.

its the young 'uns that i pity.

my pet hate is more along the lines of a 1 litre fiesta made to look like RS turbo.

on the insurance side of things its just as expensive.

i do love you ben :moon:

Wow cant believe I missed this one !!!

I really like the Bee R R324 fronts and think they look awesome, they brighten up the front of the car no end, who cares if it doesnt look like a standard R32 or an R34....they just look cool.

Have to agree that I am not a fan of cross breeding cars and agree what is the point in spending money to make your car look like another. However engine swaps are fine, I seem to remember a Delorean with a 20b rotary engine...now that was cool !!!

I can see why people make 318s look like M3s, a lot of the parts like wheels, steering wheel, interior etc make the car look and feel nicer. After all, BM actually sell cars with M Spec parts on cars even though they arent M versions !!!!! Although if you stick a badge on it saying 'M3' and it isnt one then that is wrong, the interior and exterior parts though.....go for it !!

Have you actually seen the prices of the Ferrari replica MR2s ?!!!? They all go for over 10k, when would you stand a chance of selling an MR2 for 10k ?!!!?

Anyone remember the Pug 206 advert with the indians bending a car to look like the 206....very cool !!!!

It is all down to individual taste, some of the conversions can look ok...who cares what other people think...if they are happy then thats cool in my book !!

Here endeth the lesson...
