Litchfield Imports JDM Civic Type R
Awesome mate !!! I quite like that !!!
I went and had a look and a sit in the new 2dr Civic Type R at the Honda garage a few weeks ago.
Yeah it was nice, but to me it was missing the 'Type R' feel.
I think that the 'Type R' motif means 'Raw'. If you look at previous versions like the DC2, EK9 Civic (still my favourite Civic shape) they are stripped out cars with hand built performance engines, carbon dashs, bodyparts purely with aerodynamics in mind and no rubbish like sound deadening etc, heck some even didnt come with a radio !!
The new Type Rs just seem too much like a normal roadcar and I feel have been diluted to conform with modern standards.
If I wanted to buy a car with all the modern comforts inside the car I'd buy something like a Golf R32 or an Audi. I'd rather buy something Japanese with a performance feel and like I am driving a race car !! (yeah yeah no RX7 not on the track jokes !!)
