What makes a GTR box go 'vague'

Ben you may have had the little plastic ball come loose on the end of the gearstick. If you have dont panic i have a gearstick for sale as we speak!! :lol:

Other than that i really dont know what to say, you may have just 'got used' to the weight of it.
Have a go with my new short shifter if you want a mans gear change! :lol:

Mines got a short shift - so a heavy as hell normally - does lighten up a tad when warmed up - see what Gary says

It will be really easy to change the cup on the end of the gearstick mate.

Had to do mine when I did my dash and once you have the dash panel out it was only 4 screws and the gearstick pulled right out.

A new cup only cost about

The quick shift kits are OK as long as you don't 'beat' the changes, something that is easier said than done at Santa Pod, not really a problem on a track.

I would agree with Tarka as well. A two quid plastic cup will be better than a two hundred pound quick shift kit...........mine is a Tomei kit by the way

A quickshift kit comes with a whole new gearstick assembly and everything Gareth. My Nismo one bolts to the gearbox and improves the gearchange loads.

It depends which one you buy mate, I am sure the B&M ones dont come with all the bits. Would expect the Nismo ones to though !!!

Well stripped it all out - nothing looked broken from inside .. so it must be on the box somewhere.

So not going to worry about it .. i'll near a box in the next few years due to the 4 / 5 crunch ... but that is so common on 32's it's a joke.
