I had kind of assumed that it would work like this (example only)

1) Dunk goes to Scoobyworld.org
2) Dunk offers 10 places
3) 10 people are approved by Dunk, because he knows of their behaviour on the forum
4) 10 people send payment to me

Sorted........

I personally think it should be on a personal invite only. If a member of BP is willing to vouch for another individual then I would support it, on their head be it so to speak. Open offering of places to another club is not a great idea imo.

I would be happy to have 30 members @

I would prefer the two lane stuff sounds a lot more fun, not to worried about who's involved. Think it would be a lot more fun for any spectators too. Is there enough room to run two lanes :?: :?:

For a first time, I'd be inclined to say no! For the following reasons, in no particular order:

1. There's only 2 hours for the runs. If there's a problem it could seriously erode the available time.

2. The logistics of organising 80 cars is probably more than double 40 cars. People don't organise well (not the organisers, the participants).

3. There's no cost advantage to running 2 lanes, in fact there's a disadvantage and a potential greater loss unless entries are paid in advance.

4. It's the first time BP has attempted an event of this type.

5. BP Has an excellent relationship with Snetterton which could be spoiled by a small number of 'rogue' guests or spectators.

6. Choice of forums would need to be limited to those who actually organise their own events. I don't know too much about other marque forums but, for instance, Scoobycity & MLR would be an example of safe clubs to invite. Scoobynet I'd have doubts about.

7. 2 hours gives little time for adjustments, tweaks, running repairs, etc.

8. Two lanes would be more fun than 1 :-D
