Yes mate that's at the flywheel, no idea on transmission lost.
I know Bart prefers the right lane, but i've no idea if it's slightly longer

yes! i like like the right lane too!! :D

i find it interesting about the figures your getting with the car you have and how it dictates your QTR times etc?

i was running 225.3bhp and 233.7 ft/lbs of torque from a straight 4 @ 12.5 psi.

interesting to have better torque than a turbo'd V6?

are these relatively "un-stressed" engines?

it seems very "lazy" revs on the vid?

sort of like an american V8?

you did yourself proud btw ;)

Thanks Jim :)
we're currently only running 8 psi and yes they are a relatively unstressed engine. I commented to Al on several occassions about how unstressed the car sounds out on track. The type 9 gearbox helps with it's longer gearing.

ahhh! so the box could be better for QTR times then?

does the box help for donny?

have you tried it on other tracks?

any plans to up the boost?

or is 8psi the max for the ECU?

i know some nasp ECU's can cope with upto 6-8psi without aftermarket fuel management?

WE've done Donny, Cadwell, snetterton & Castle combe. A lot depends on your driving style and knowing your car. At donny for example the ess', leading to the start finish straight. We take that at around 50mph which means we can use either 2nd or 3rd. 2nd means your scrabbling for another gear shortly after exit where as 3rd means full power and the car is well straight before you need another gear. In the later models they would have to use 3rd as second would run out of revs before the straightens up.
Our car does not have an ecu of any kind. It is MFI and not EFI this is why we are having problems with fueling top end.

Once the fueling is sorted we will be upping the boost to around 12psi on this engine, but not until after the Nurburg 700 :-D

sorry Goddards. Cadwell was our first track day with this car. handling was too soft, brakes faded abit at at that time she was producing 183bhp. Insite of that Alan was only 1 second a lap slower than a Lotus elise and it was our first time at Cadwell. We have some video footage but the formats are wrong for uploading :( . Must try to get that sorted.
They call it the national circuit now, the same circuit that th etouring cars use..

Very good, it's probably why we haven't nad any real problems with brake fade except cadwell but the discs were only fitted the day before we went there, We'll be bringing the car to the May meet
