Well I tried for ages to think about how best to start this writeup, in the end I will start by saying it was one of the best trips I have ever been on. I laughed till my sides hurt (or was that a Go-Kart injury?!!?), was amazed by the quality of driving both on the track and on the road and the food was perfect although no Bratwurst und Frites for a while lol.
Anyway on to it

Sadly I cant make the sept one as Em and I are looking to buy a house at the end of the year so the money will be going to that.ScoobyandScrappy wrote:great write up gareth are you taking the RX7 there in sept?
I'll be honest with you and say that no I wouldnt take my RX7 there, I hear you all gasp !! The reason being that you can have a lot more fun in a car with a lot less power but stripped out and setup properly. MADDOGs son has a Golf thats setup for track use, a lot less power than Dunks Impreza but on the track Dunk couldnt get near him !!
Plus the fact that RX7s arent very popular in Germany so not many tuners over there who know about the rotary engine and the trouble Frayz had with getting parts for a brand new car from a main dealer, let alone for a car never sold in the country !!
Stu and I had a good chat about this and I think we both came to the conclusion that a cheap track car is a much better option, something like a Golf, BM, MX5 etc that you can get parts for cheaply and easily in Germany or in the UK. I kinda like the idea of an MX5 to stick with the Mazda brand plus its RWD...Stu thinks it's because I am a bit of a hairdresser !!!!!
This post isnt intended to put people off taking there cars, its just when you see the options available if a car does go wrong it really hits home that its a long long way from the UK !!
