Just got the car started, ran it up to temperature and now we'll leave it to cool down. Then plenium back off, rocker covers off and re-torque the heads and set the tappetts. Also might need to to adjust the timing.

A very interesting read to someone who doesnt have pistons lol.

Well done working on this yourselves though, theres a real sense of achievement when it all works out !!!

Just back in from a nice steady 70 mile drive, me in the track car and Al in his 4i, stopped off at a nice country pub sat outside with shandy's and looked at the cars. Sorrry no pics forgot to take the camera. The car seemed fine but again we won't know for sure until we next go out on track unless we have a few runs on the dyno tomorrow.

Did i mention that we are at a dyno day with our other car club tomorrow hence the push to get the heads done......Fingers crossed.

If this doesn't work i'm going to solve it once and for all by WELDING THE DAMN HEADS TO THE BLOCK......Like to see the gaskets pop then :twisted:
