Good call. That seems a good place everyone knows where it is.
May even meet along the A14 on route.
Next question is what time to get there for?

I have been ill all week and was hoping to be all better by now but I am not so

I don't think I will be upto a 2 hour drive there and back etc.

Good luck to all that are competing and have fun everyone.

WHAT a fun trip to Donny!!!

Talk about the convoy accumulating more and more cars!

Shame the show was very orientated towards I.C.E. etc. and that the final drifting round was at the end of the day...I bailed out around 3pm as I didn't want to get stuck trying to leave.

Great meeting you Ian, Mirage (sorry forgotten your real name), Bladey (Sorry that you didn't make it to the last 16) and er..anyone who was there!

I thought the day/show was very good overall. Ok, there was the chavtastic element there but these guys pay the same money to get in that we all do and that helps fund the events etc

I eventually caught up with Bladey and Phat Bob, Carl from Bibby, Lee and Mrs L, spoke to Pablo twice via mobile and that was it. Phone died, walked round and around in circles but couldn't find Ian, Mike Payne or Pablo and Bart! Really sorry guys.

The standard of drifting seemed MUCH higher than last year. Everything from the presentation of the cars, the speed through the bends and the transition of the drifts themselves seemed much better. Very well done to all concerned.

A real shame James couldn't squeeze into the last 16 but he did score higher than last years winner, Phil Morrison, so that has to bode well for the big fella.

Mike Payne seemed to be running really well in the club class with Matt Allison decimating everybody in the pro class. When I left he was over a second quicker than the next rival, Ollie Clark in the RCM Gobstopper. The level of commitment from the drivers was huge. I lost count of the drivers who left plumes of dust as they ran wide onto the grass leaving the last chicane that leads onto the start/finish straight. Renton in the Reyland Sierra probably got the grass cutting record. He was still full bore 2 metres onto the grass until he passed the bridge, 400 metres down the straight!! :o

I'll upload a few pictures tomorrow, nothing special, would have taken more but said phone died on me and that, as they say, was that.

Sleepyhead, where you in the convoy A14/M1?? where Scubbies, evo's seemed to appear from nowhere??, I was in the Silver Evo5, a little bit of a mental convoy to say the least!! :)

That MX5 of yours is a quick little beast!!

Cheers,
Gareth.
