I wouldn't go with fixed bucket seats unless you're going to fit proper harnesses. Some nice reclining bucket seats would be a better, safer option (Bride Gias kevlar shell anyone 8) )

So, the plan is to improve the power to weight ratio.

The weighbridge showed the car at 1505 kg with a 1/4 tank of fuel

Target = 1350kg

Current power to weight = 236hp/tonne
Target = 263/tonne

Initial plan of attack is as follows:

1) change seats to some Sparco Evo 2 - 40 kg
2) removal of "some" soundproofing/trim - 10 kg
3) removal of spare tyre/tools - 20kg

Then I will need to consider sourcing some RA panels such as:

1) Bootlid
2) Bumper Bar

Or you could have saved yourself all this hassle and bought a Classic Impreza :wink: :gayfight:

I just bought some Rota Torques in 8x18's, and they are V.light, I've got to take the rears off over the weekend so if I remember I'll weight them with the tyres (Toyo T1-s), and post here. But they where ALOT lighter than the OZ 17inch OE wheels!!.

When changing seats also remember the subframe, I swapped the seats in my car for the 30-130 day, but had to use the standard Evo subframe and they where not light and so didn't save as much as I thought I would (still saved about 15kg's, but would of saved more if I'd of got lighter subframes).

Good point Gareth.

I will seek advice on the best seats/rails that still give adjustability for change of driver etc.
