WRC spec carbon rear firewall.. teaser pics..

Post by frayz »

Well as most of you know i took the plunge and got myself some carbon panels to replace the rear interior of the car since removing the rear seats etc.
These are full carbon panels that are genuine items for the WRC cars. Subsequently they are a pig to fit if you want them to look even remotely nice.

Im waiting for some edging to trim the edges with and also some lightweight hardware in order to bolt it all in with. So please excuse my crap pics and note that none of this is fitted properly its all just taped into position etc.

Also a pic of my new TRS magnum ultralite harness's.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on NVH levels with those rear panels Frayz. Other than aesthetics, I presume the benfits are slight weight saving?

Looks gorgeous. Nice Harnnii too :D (Harnices seems a bit wrong when you type/say it)

Yeah, saved a fair bit of weight.. id guesstimate about 20kg including all the bracketry etc.

Not really worried about NVH mate as its not my daily drive. Ive got some of the HD foam that the rally boys use at work. Ive put some of this on all the touching panels so that none of it will rub and rattle.

Should be fine other than the boomyness of the exhaust. Loving the harnni too.. well pleased with them over my old safety devices jobbies :D

Looking good but are those harness in the position where they will stay in that photo?
