Hi Andy & Spencer, Welcome to Bigpower.

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago and been meaning to mail Andy about it. Definitely interested as I've done nothing about sprinting this year. I did the HCC sprint and a few others last year. Good fun.

Up to my eyes in things but will need to get my finger out.

Q about tyres. You don't mention list 1A or 1B for road going classes so does that mean roadgoing slicks are OK?

Hi Gerry,

Good to hear from you again - hope to see you at the tracks this year!

The rules are basically the same as the regional associations, the summary is only a rough outline - for the detailed technical regs, click on the link. Both the standard class (J-276) and the roadgoing class (J-ROAD) require list 1A tyres (tech reg 3.6).

The rules for J-ROAD are essentially identical to the regional associations class B4 (which was A3 last year...). This is to allow people to tie in with regional association championships (and lots of other events) if they wish.

The J-MAX class is free and can run competition only slicks. Please note Toyo Proxes R888s are not list 1A tyres (these are list 1B, and not eligible for J-276 or J-ROAD)

I've just checked the dates and I don't think I'd be able to make the first event, I don't think my car will be back on the road by then.

How would this effect my entrance to the following events?

Hi Michael

No issue at all! We are piggybacking existing sprint meetings, so there is no requirement to get a minimum number to each event. You can enter as many or as few as you want. Of course the more events you do the better chance you have of getting an overall class win in the championship, but in terms of getting out and having fun there are no restrictions! :-D

Applications both done but can't do the first two events as I'm in Scotland on both dates. Bugger

Spencer: Are the regs sent automatically once you receive the application?

Gerry,

The intention will be that mailing lists will be set up and regs will be automatically sent out for each event.

However the first two events I might provide links to the regs as they are fairly close. For the June onwards stuff I expect to be getting regs sent out to competitors.
