Okey dokey.........the latest update !!!
OMG its less than 2 weeks to go now !!!
In fact its actually only 8 working days !!!
I have been rather busy at work too as if there wasnt enough going on at the moment, and right now I cant really afford to turn work away !! However I have managed to get a fair bit sorted and as usual the guys at GBH have been doing some truly awesome stuff. There have been a couple of setbacks too but this is only natural in these things and frankly Im not too fussed as I have been there, done that as far as last minute goes so I am not particularly losing any sleep !!! Yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first post of this project thread basically said what the planned mods were originally and that money was such that we had to pull back from alot of what we wanted to do in the expensive engine department. However, blessed as I am with the ability to spend large sums of cash without breaking a sweat that has all kind of beenturned on its head now with some of the nicest chunks of metal made for SR20's going into mine now !!!
Two weeks ago the speclist for the engine was....
87mm HKS pistons
Lightened, balanced, peened rods
Lightened, balanced, heavily knife edged trick crank
HKS headgasket
Arp rod bolts
Medium spec cams
Nicely flowed head
Now the spec list is....
87mm HKS pistons
Tomei Forged rods + ARP bolts
ARP Headstud kit
ARP Main stud kit
Uber trick, lightened, balanced, heavily knife edged crank, with matching flywheel and pulley
Totally deburred/smoothed block
Totally deburred/smoothed head
Spastic spec cams
Tomei Verniers
Full HKS Step 3 head kit with solid lifters, double valve springs, lightweight retainers, shims, coated rockers
Greddy Rocker arm stoppers
Full race head with matched ports and inlets, 3 angle valves, reprofiled combustion chambers, squish areas and valve throats
HKS Steel headgasket
Nismo race bearings and shells
Special roller bearing turbo
New actuator
Should be very very revvy and quick spooling and should easily give 400+bhp with the rest of the engine being safe for 600+
The car comes back on Friday at which point it will be all hands to action stations and just rip the last few bits to shreds and fit all the kit.
Then its getting mapped on Wednesday (next week) ready for the weekend !!!
Woooooooohoooooooooooooooooooo !!!!

Best of luck buddy
Shout if you need anything (barring skill or money :wack: )
I'm sure the decision to dig deep will pay dividends and the new add-ons are like automotive porn
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I still think we should get some Team Bladey shirts made up

Dan,
If you look closely you would have seen my spin at Knockhill Round 3 behind Stiggy (who also span) in my first D1 Tsuiso battle, and then later was the one - again behind Stiggy - at Silverstone at round 4 which Duncan took the great pictures of which I should have won !!
There were some hilarious bits in it, and alot of strange camera work - seemed to have quite a few of the drift regulars looking uncomfortable in front of the camera though !!!
Stu,
Cheers mate, you'll have to come down next week f you get a chance and have a look round at GBH.
