Well that was fun :)

Im still grinning now 24 hours later.

The 200 in full dragster mode, pulled some tyres off the inlaws tyre pile, managed to get some almost new matadors :-D for the front standard 195 50 R15 size and some 205 65 R15C for the back, it gave the car a comical if purposeful stance.

Now dopey here remembered his camera, but left the memory card in the PC, so im a little short on pics, but the wifes phone managed a couple of blurry vids :)

Fun track too, but for those who were worried about stone chips, yipes, quite a bit of debris throw up especially down the main straight. (Runway).

Great complex of corners after the main straight too, sweeping right hander followed by a double apex right and then double apex left which had the tail stepping on most laps :D (which may have had a lot to do with those rear tyres apparently the C in R15C is for commercial, hard as granite 8 plys, oops, but they were free so watcha gonna do eh?)

Next was a rather odd straight with a metal rail embedded in the ground, which acted a lot like a ramp, great fun for me on standard suspension, but the owner of the lotus Elise next to me in the paddock which removed the leading edge of its wheel arches wasn't massively impressed.

The 200 with standard suspension is a beautifully easy car to drive, a progressive amount of under steer to begin with and and and with standard size rubber on the back when it brakes traction at the rear its well within the limits of the novice to catch. Mostly.

Towards the end of the day with confidence up i started to gain on a few cars, had a fun couple of laps behind an evo 2 on slicks, it would hammer away from me on the straights but id make a lot of that back under braking and through the corners, and when they moved over on the straight the first time to let me pass they were still pulling away :o , damn my 200bhp, on the second lap they slowed down enough, full of confidence i charged on, down the back straight, through the chicane round the hay bale, all much faster than id been before (can you guess whats coming?) On a corner id been able to just boot it through all day, i was now a good few 100 rpm higher up the rev range and the boost came in just before id got the wheel straight, back end goes out novice mistake 1) over correct car spins round the other way and i fly off the track and take a couple of cones with me.

No harm done, and i suppose if you dont fall off, then you aint trying hard enough.

Nice to meet MJP, thanks for the passenger ride matt :) hope you got some good footage.

cheers guys :)

I roughed up a track map, put the perspectives all wrong and the res is far to low, never know it may come in handy for someone.
