Diff oil

Post by sleepyhead »

I noticed in my garage that I have an opened tin of Diff oil...probably been there for a few months now...

Is it dead? It hasn't been sealed (it was one of those annoying open once kind of cans and it was like 2 or so litres worth...only used 1/2 of it) but been covered with a plastic bag.

if it is dead..what's the best way of disposing of it?

im sure gear oil doesnt go off - at least if your diff takes ATF or GL5 like normal gearboxes. most gearboxes have a vent somewhere anyway.

if you do want to get rid of it, take it to your local council recycling place where they have special bins for oil. or give it to your local garage :)

The diff oil is Kaaz diff oil...i forget the weight....blah (brain is fried from work).

So if it's still good to go, I'll use it on the next diff oil change. :)

KAAZ diff oil costs a fortune. I use Royal purple in my transmission and the cost to me is about
