Im in a similar boat as Nik,
Karen likes cars, absolutely adores her Evo and enjoys driving a great deal - she got down to the last 70 in Formula Woman last year
She doesnt love cars the same way I do, but she does kind of understand why I am the way I am, although the obsessive spending bit does occasionally cause the odd awkward conversation
She looks at the Porsche with Mixed eyes, a bit like I do - its a beautiful car, fabulously built, and its abilities on track blow you away when you remember its just a standard car. Its also quite cool to say "I gotta GT3" when people ask what car you drive, which is a bit gay I suppose and ego massaging, but we're all human !!!
Its just that its so much money tied up in one lump, its useless on road, and when you are chucking it round the track you cant help always thinking "this things worth almost as much as my first house !!!" which is worrying and takes the edge off. I guess if I was a millionaire and it didnt matter then the GT3 would be perfect, but until then it doesnt get loved by me or Karen that much. Both of us preferred the old GTR - she got caught by my mate doing 160+ down the A12 (autobahn
) once - he rang me up thinking it was me !!! She also liked the fact most blokes couldnt drive it and she could - triple plate clutch usually results in a stall first time round !! - and loved popping down the shops in a 600bhp weapon, just to annoy any guys who might be there !!!
So the answer is a no, but a much bigger yes than most of you lot I guess !!!!

see you are lucky, and get it right..its "because" of me you have a GTR, and yup, the Rex Rules.. now, what about some uprated brakes for my FC ??R32 Nik wrote:I must be one of the lucky ones![]()
I wouldn't say Sarah loves the GTR but she does like the fact that I have one. She does however have more V Power running through her veins than I do:D
The Rex is her pride and joy and she absolutely loves it. 8)
Aint this where I should put something witty ?
