This sounds a great idea Stu,

I've only done track once ( a while back ) and advice from more experienced members sounds fantastic. Also my other halfs Mitsi colt is going to be ready for track and she should really get out in it as well.

good thinking Batman

Good idea, never done a track day and don,t want to prang my pride and joy, trying to keep up or getting in the way of others.

i'm a track virgin ! :wave2:

I think this is a great idea and would love to take part and learn the skills, I have no confidence in my car at the moment as it keeps playing up (clutch, stalling etc..) and wouldn't mind the opportunity with maybe a donor car but that is quite a lot to ask !

I'd be interested as well, as some of the others have said it's the fear of denting our pride and
joys which put some of us off.

Totally understand and I am sure that with some dedicated time on the track with little traffic, some good guidance, no-one pressuring you to drive faster, no-one being held up whilst you gain confidence and your sensible head on, anyone can drive at a moderately fast speed for a few laps without crashing or breaking anything :thumb:

My very first trackday was an Evo Magazine Novice day at Snetterton.

The day consisted of Breifing and then a Q and A session

Then we all piled into a minibus and went on to the circuit stopping on every corner and giving us guidance on braking turn in and apex points.

We then headed back and got in our cars and followed an instuctor round for a lap then dropped to the back so each of us had a chance to follow him round for a lap

Then we went out following the instructor for two laps he then pulled into the pit and we were away!

Final session was like an open pit session.

Very enjoyable day and learnt loads from it.
