I's getting there, I didn't get in untill 2.00am this morning and I'm feeling it now. So off out tonight to bed them in and up early tomorrow, it's all too much for one so young

I just remembered the track day insurance too :o

I have been so busy the last week, what with running in the new engine, mapping it, new brakes and bedding them in, TAX and MOT, trackday @ Snetterton on Wednesday etc. etc. I have just been too tired to update this thread. Well that is my excuse and I'm sticking to it:D

Anyway, some pictures:

Image

The long awaited grade 5 shells finaly installed, withe the balanced bottom end.

Image

I guess we need some pitons now.

Image

Custom made Arias forged pistons, which are more than twice the price of off the shelf R33 RB25DET pistons.

Image

N1 oil and water pumps.

Image

Greddy exhaust manifolds can crack, just like the rest.

Image

Lets see how long that lasts.

Image

Nobody makes a large capacity baffled sump for the NEO engine, so RSP fabricated a 7 litre one for me.

Image

Tomei GTR baffle kit.

Image

Nearly done.

Image

All done and painted. The oil pick up to the oil pump was extended to reach the bottom of the new sump.

Image

In an effort to stop me from keep getting Black flagged at trackdays, the screamer pipe from the Greddy external wastegate has been plumbed back into the exhaust down pipe, with a removable flanged section. When the section is removed for normal road use, the rear flange is blanked off and the front flange from the wastegate has an angled section pointing towards the ground.

Image

It took many hours to design and fabricate the exhaust and sump!

Image

Oh yeah and who said that Greddy plenum couldn't be made to fit the NEO engine? RSP managed it, together with a Q45 throttle body :D

Image

New fuel rail too.

Image

Plenum, throttle body and turbo all polished by Eddie (ESP) on Skyline Owners Club.

Image

Just need to replace one or two hoses for Blue ones and then get polishing the engine bay.

Geoff, that is a thing of beauty - I never realised how nice your engine bay looked :)

Superb Geoff

Must be one of the best R34's in the country now :notworthy: The only problem with the track days is that we're all too busy driving to have a good around each others cars..........oh well, maybe next time.

Any news on the brakes yet Geoff?

Thanks for the coments guys, it means a lot to me :D

I have put a second new set of the same make brake discs on for the moment, while investigations into the failure are carried out. I would be crazy not to take up the offer of a replacement AP set up though

I have also put the Titanium exhaust back on since the trackday, ah......... normal noisy sound levels have been restored 8) There was no way that I was going to be Black flagged again @ Snetterton for too much noise. I had a really quiet cat back system, a de-cat silencer and the screamer pipe plumbed back in. Judging by some of the other noisy cars there, I shouldn't have bothered though :(
