Natural flames of course, a flamer kit would add weight, and be very very gay.

Lol - very cool. I also love seeing a nicely prepped engine too - and i'm not talking internals - i'm talking shiny and clean.

some more cleaning, was later primed

perfect sill, dont need touching

oily tunnel, should really get it clean, however its VERY oily from the blown engine. Did the worst of it in the engine bay but I'll steam clean it before the engine gets fitted as the best plan.

cleans and primed battery tray
Image
found some rust here - very small amount
Image
paint looked thin here, but wasnt really rusty

then back to the interior

only half a day today, did a favour for a friend this morning and popped in for a brew at Petrols - who kindly loaned me the motorised wire bush - thanks. (run out of room for smilies) : thumbs :

Day 4 of the build...

I just had to take a picture of how blue the sky was ... before locking myself in the barn .....
Image
Went to do some lightening ... but my hole-saw broke
Image
Things that were primed yesterday were now smoothrited.
Image
As you can see silver smoothrite is a perfect match for a Grey facelift.

Which is now 100% de-soundproofed - glad it was cold so it was brittle but still a right bitch of a job!

So, next Job, remove the big gay middle pedal, and get 3 pedals for me to use ...
Image
Image
However this is as far as I got as I didnt have the 34mm hole-saw with me ....

Roll on Day 5

Day 5 of the build...

I noticed the rear bumper support was very heavy ...
Image
Went to do some lightening ... but my hole-saw broke again, so read instructions, 250rpm with cutting oil.. I had it on full speed, no lube :wack:
Image
Image
Image

Got the important hole drilled first though
Image
Image
The manual accelerator is lighter :wack: as well as being easy to change and having my pedal extensions already sorted.
Image
The brake pedal was an arse to swap, steering column is on the way.
Image
end result ... a manual car
The clutch damper unit thing is fitted too, but no pics.
