Kakimoto Exhaust swap R32 GTR

Post by Stuart »

My hand has been forced. I have another trip to the Nurburgring coming up and the exhaust will need to be swapped beforehand.

Image

The exhaust in question is a Kakimoto racing N1 model and goes from the cat or cat replacement back. The condition is very good indeed and the sound, oh the sound. For anyone wanting a GTR with a bark to match or exceed the bite, this is it. It is quite simply the loudest exhaust I have heard on a GTR short of the Lemon, and I suspect that would be close too :D

As far as noise limits are concerned, I have done Snetterton, Cadwell and the Ring without any complaints. I am looking to swap the exhaust for another Japanese high quality brand in equally good condition. I have workshop facilities where the swap can be carried out so we can both drive away with our new exhausts, so minimum fuss for both.

If the swap doesn't come off within a few weeks, the exhaust will be sold as is. At that point I will get a custom one made up.

Thanks

Why not just go for a HKS Silent .... much more pleasent for a long journey mate and a nice bark when under load.

I'm sure however there is someone on here who wants an earth shattering exhaust note .... must admit I was tempted for 2 mins but then remembered that I have neighbours :)

My mate has one on his 32 GTR and it sounds sexual. Not as loud as my Apexi but enough to rattle the double glazing on tickover  .

Still, swapping for a 5zigen is still complete madness IMHO :? :)

Ah but think of the fun you could have in tunnels, underpasses etc, more than makes up for it. Looks like he passed quite a few sound checks at track with it on which im quite surprised about.

He / you must be getting old :pmsl:
