Turns out, after disconnecting the Lambda the idle is still rubbish, re-checked the CEL codes, oh yes, the mighty MAF is on there, so after only 200 miles it's goosed :!: So ordered another one today, and will try that, as if I have no MAF or Lambda then how is the fuelling handled :?: :!: And I have 140 mile trip home on Friday to do.

Thing is, you chaps mention the fact that I have a K&N filter on there, but there seems to be quite a few others running this filter with a MAF and its okay. I wonder whether i got a faulty MAF :?: I don't intend to have the MAF long as once its run in I am going to get a new ECU with runs on a MAP sensor.

I am pretty sure the maf sensor code will be there as a historic code from when you testd the car without it. Best thing you can do is bring it to someone with deltadash to have a proper look.

Okay, after quite a few hours searching and swapping bits, the issue was......a fooked plug :!: :!:

So, I am glad to report the car is running like a dream as from yesteday afternoon.....pretty happy to have solved it :D

Next stage now is :

drop links fitted
oil cooler
de-cat fitted
cold air feed installed

then a new ECU :D

Another little update.

Fitted my de-cat on Sunday in the sunshine, and looked at where to mount my oil cooler core.

Will hopefully have another update at the weekend with some more goodies being aquired :D :D :D

Only real thing to sort is the ECU.....arrggh ](*,) , its getting my nerves now, not enough to spend loads on a new Autronics tho, I am way too tight for that

hehehe, you know it

Looking less and less likely that I am going to make it this trip, which I am gutted about    But don't want to just go spend money on an ECUtek just so I know its safe...so unless a miricale ECU and mapper appear from nowhere and can fit me in in the next 3 weeks then I am fooked :(

After this weekend it will most definately be ready to map...will put up some pics of my new purchases :D
