Too many toys!!

Post by BigFil »

I have recently had to have a sort out of what vehicles I have, what I wanted to keep and what i wanted to get rid of. I kept forgetting when MOT's insurances etc were up for renewal and ended up setting up a spreadsheet!! It was then I realised I needed to get rid of some of them, so currently I have

05 Mustang
04 Mini convertable
00 Land Rover
02 Merceds Sprinter van
04 Campion 645 Speedboat

I have over the last couple of weeks sold my

89 - Frontera
00 - Transit
04 - Scooter

Next on the list to go are the Mini and the speedboat and it got me thinking, I can't be the only one on here that suffers from the " I'm just going to go and have a look " syndrome?

Driving a fast Jap import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay.

At the most obscene point I had the use/owned six cars and it was very cathartic selling a few of the buggers off. Will be having a spring clean again soon. Can't wait. Bladey cars quicker than he collects bulk discounts from his local perapatetic restaurant ;)

Will anything be replacing the sold toys Fil or are you just having a clear out?

Traders policies have significant downfalls, namely that you only get the trade value for replacement in the event of an accident ( true trade on the sorts of cars we drive cannot be good) and that the excess can be hideous.......that and you try and find a decent policy that will cover someone who doesn't have a legitimate reason for having one. Who many of us are legitimately in the car trade?
